This town of surprising and original beauty is a great tourist attraction. Most of its houses are caves dug into a mountain.
Setenil is of Roman origin and forms part of the Route of the White villages. Its present name comes from the Latin Septem-Nihil which means "Seven times nothing" which was the number of times the Christians unsuccessfully tried to conquer the Arabs.
Sentenil is incredible and unusual, justifying a slow and restful visit that allows one to contemplate its marvels. Easter Week is well known for its uniqueness.

Located to the north of the Natural Park of Grazalema, Zahara is a typical Andalusian white village of extraordinary beauty at the top of which are the remains of a 13th century Nasrid castle.

Arab in origin, it is said that the name of the village comes from one of Mohammed's daughters and means " flower ". The local mountains are beautiful with forests of pines, with grazing pastures for the Spanish mountain goat and deer and where small game hunting is a popular pastime.
The nearby Puerto del Palomas, an ideal place for paragliding, is worth visiting, together with the banks of the Rivers Arroyomolino and Bocaleone, and the Garganta Verde (Green Gorge), with a descent of more than 200 m, that leads to the Ermita de la Garganta cave with its stalactites and stalagmites.
